Hey Journey Group! Yesterday we had a Lifetalk about comparing ourselves to others and how it devalues our self-worth. This really stirred up some emotions inside of me and made me feel very vulnerable and exposed because I compare myself to others on a daily basis. When I compare myself to others, I stand in the comparisons confidently and believe them wholeheartedly. This decreases my self-worth and makes me feel pretty terrible about myself. Unworthy, not good enough, too this, too that. What really stood out to me was how we can make comparisons less awkward and less degrading. We acknowledge the quality in another that we wish we had, and we express to them you are blank and I want that for myself.
