After committee meetings, we had a group arts workshop for dance. We had a guest instructor, Chryssie Whitehead, who had such a positive attitude and inviting personality. It was so exhilarating to work with her, and I took away so much. Chryssie’s teaching style is very hands-on and extremely enjoyable. Something that she said really sparked my brain… She said that, “Everyone feels like the people around them make, ‘poofs’ about them.” ‘Poofs’ are judgements thrown at you by others. The idea is that these, ‘poofs’ are like clouds that you can’t touch, and you shouldn’t give any attention to. Chryssie gave me such inspiration with this, and it is definitely something I will keep in my thoughts.
