Today we had a visual arts workshop. We learned how to make silk scarves by folding pieces of silk and then painting them. When the scarves were unfolded, dried, and ironed, beautiful patterns emerged on all of the scarves. It was so interesting to work in a new medium. I’m so grateful that I had the opportunity to learn those techniques. Anna mentioned that each scarf seemed to represent its creator. That’s a great way to think about art in general. I’m excited to work on a piece for a nonprofit that combines my essence and theirs. It’s going to be an exciting few months!
