We just had a very special arts workshop. Chryssie Whitehead came and worked with musical theatre, children’s show, and dance all together. One thing Chryssie talked a lot about was the reality of thoughts. She said that thoughts are just ‘poofs’ and can’t hurt you unless put into action. She made sure to emphasize that ‘poofs’ are natural. Everyone has thoughts and opinions and those aren’t harmful until they become judgements. So, if thoughts are just proofs, and poofs are harmless, why should we be afraid to look silly and take risks? Isn’t fear of judgement the only thing keeping us from going outside of our comfort zone? I’ve heard many people speak about thoughts and taking risks, but never before has it been so applicable even to little everyday things. I had so much fun at the workshop, and I look forward to taking what I’ve learned and applying it.
