It makes me so sad to think that we only have two more committee meetings left! I look forward to attending these each and every week. They are such a great pick-me-up after a long week of school and stress. Today we had our third arts workshop, where we had a guest speaker/leader. Her name was Chryssie Whitehead. She is absolutely amazing and talented beyond belief. She taught us the importance of good posture. It is so much more than merely holding yourself upright. It is about confidence, and the energy that you bring into a room. Correct posture allows you to be more open to connection with other people and encourages self-confidence. Now that I know the large impact of body language and posture in my life, I will be much more intentional in how I hold myself.
