We are halfway through the PFO year and I wanted to share about the journey so far, what I’ve learned, and how PFO has impacted me. We’ve just finished committee meetings and next we will be moving onto Arts Experiences! All the teens will either be in Musical or Children’s theater, Visual Art or Dance. I am in Musical Theater and I am super excited to start rehearsing. This year I joined the leadership portion of PFO and doing so has changed my whole perspective on everything PFO does and why it truly matters. One of the things PFO strives to do is “To create innovative leaders and philanthropists through the giving of our time, talent and treasure.” However this year especially I have learned that PFO is more than that, Playing for Others is an organization that offers teens a truly safe space. It allows teens to be their true self and helps each and every one of them realize that they are incredible. I am so grateful to have met each and every one of them and cannot imagine what my life would be like if I had not joined PFO. It has taught me to live every second of my life grateful for what I have, and that everyone has the power to change the world. Of all the things PFO has taught me it is that I am who I say I am and that I truly can change the world. Thank you all for following me on my journey thus far. I am looking forward to updating you all on what is happening in PFO soon!
