We are halfway through the PFO year and I wanted to share about the journey so far, what I’ve learned, and how PFO has impacted me. It has been a great year with PFO. From the retreat and meeting all new people to starting and finishing the Children’s Book. I chose this year to be in the Children’s Book Committee other than last year when I was in the Cookbook Committee. I thought I’d try something new. It was awesome to write a book and see how writing is more than just words on a page and a picture and that it takes thought. I’ve learned that life isn’t all about yourself, but you still have to love yourself . I’ve also learned that even through difficult times there are always people there for you. PFO has made me look at situations differently now that it is my second year. I’ve realized that no matter what situation or background, people are people no matter who they are. And you can’t judge someone by how they look or act, they are human. I’ve learned this through the Buddy Program portion of PFO, which I love. I am looking forward to the rest of the year and hope it ends great.
