It’s been half of the PFO season, and it’s been wonderful and transformational for me and all the other teens. With every Lifetalk that we get I have learned a new life lesson to put into my everyday life. With every committee meeting I work harder and harder to get an end product… And with Arts Experience workshops I’m going out of my comfort zone and growing. It’s hard to wrap six months into a few words, but a huge lesson that I have put into my everyday life is that to love others, you first have to love yourself, because if you don’t love yourself how are you ever supposed to let other people’s love in? I’m sure you’ve heard the saying “the same start backyard”. It’s the same with love. The three statements that I stated in my first year of PFO are playing a role in my life more each day. The first one is that I am courageous-going out of my comfort zone every day and trying new things that make me stronger. The second one is that I am compassionate-‘m compassionate about other people’s feelings and how I make people feel around me. The last one is that I am confident-I am confident in the person I’ve become and who I’m setting out to be. Thank you for sticking by me through the year, reading my blogs and coming on the PFO journey!
