We are halfway through the PFO year and I wanted to share about the journey so far, what I’ve learned, and how PFO has impacted me. It’s been a pretty amazing year, and if you’ve read my blogs, it’s been pretty emotional as well – it being my last year. I’ve performed in front of people for the first time, and stepped up to create and lead two Lifetalks, and I’ve seen myself step into the shoes of my past Small Group Leaders. All the crazy PFO-verbage aside, I’ve learned to be myself more and more each day.

I get a very different experience than most teens by being part of the Small Group Leaders. I see this behind-the-scenes of PFO and don’t really take part in the committee experience. Instead, I am more creating the experience for others, which is pretty cool. I have more time to create connections with the teens, and to make sure that they each have the experience with PFO that I had in my first year. I’ve noticed that to be a personal goal of mine, and I think I’m doing pretty well so far. This year has really been dedicated to others and helping them find themselves through PFO. This is really my last chance to make a direct impact on PFO, and with this year I’ve really tried to put my all into making it the best experience for the new teens.

With the year halfway over, there’s going to be a huge and hectic turn towards our Arts Experiences, which I am so ready for. I always felt that through Arts Experiences is when teens really get to know each other in PFO, and it’s how I got my closest friends in PFO. I am excited for another year in the musical – sort of a return to my first year in PFO 🙂 I’m so thankful you have all stuck with me during these past three years! Here’s to another half a season!
