We are about halfway through our season and I’m here to touch base and let you know what’s impacted me so far. Let’s start with my committee — I had a great year as a co-chair of the slam poetry committee. Our big performance was Nov. 6th, and we killed it. I have been seriously impacted by seeing all of the members of my committee shine while they performed. It felt a little bit like sending my children off to war or something, but the time for weird metaphors is over. On top of that, I think I formed a really strong relationship with my advisor, Eddie. Basically, my committee year was awesome.Let’s start with my committee — I had a great year as a co-chair of the slam poetry committee. Our big performance was Nov. 6th, and we killed it. That being said, every time I’m at a buddy event with Sean and Isabelle, my buddy and my buddy partner, It’s kind of a centering experience in that I’m able to forget about all the work for school I still have to do, or about any other stuff like that, and just hang out for a couple hours, it’s great. We’re gearing up for our arts festival with rehearsals and performances in the second half of our season and I could not be more excited. I’m in the dance experience this year, which is really just like interpretive movement, which sounds more artistic and mysterious to me, so I think that’s pretty cool. I can’t wait to start rehearsals and to start a new year with PFO.
