We are halfway through the PFO year and I wanted to share about the journey so far, what I’ve learned, and how PFO has impacted me. This year has been crazy. I stepped into a new leadership role and assumed the position of a Small Group Leader. I opened PFO up to the small group of four teens that I led, and I held that safe space for them. They have taken that and grown tremendously. Their growth is a reflection of my own growth and leadership. I also led my first Lifetalk this year. It was a nerve-wracking experience. With the full group, I lead a talk on how “You Are Not Your Story” and how you can recognize your past and how it reflects in your own life, and then how you can release the parts that you label as negative. It felt surreal to me that I led a Lifetalk, because I had always been a spectator. Watching the amazing leadership teens, lead us to this inspiring revelation. And now I am one. Overall, this year in PFO has been life changing for me. The intense expansion of my comfort zone leaves me dumbfounded. I will only continue growing and I am excited to do so!
