Dear Journey Group,

We are halfway through the PFO year and I wanted to share about the journey so far, what I’ve learned, and how PFO has impacted me. Throughout these past few months I have learned so much about myself and how to treat others along with many other valuable skills. Throughout this half of the PFO year I have learned how to be my best self and who that is. PFO is a very safe and a non-judgement environment. This kind of environment has allowed me to open up and find how much people really like who I truly am and how great I am. During the committee meetings we have been given so many wonderful Lifetalks from our Small Group Leaders. These series of Lifetalks taught me so much and I have applied these learnings to my everyday life. One example of this is that I now realize I care a little too much about how I’m not like other people and how I don’t focus enough on what I am good at. I know now that I need to realize I can’t be as good as everyone at everything, it’s not practical, but I do have my good traits. PFO has also taught me to always be open and accepting of people because you can have more uncommon with them than you think or your assumptions aren’t always accurate. This lesson has helped me be more outgoing and make more friends and become a much more liked person. I have been able to give people a chance when I meet them and get to know them before I decide if I like them or not. In the past, I used to make that decision before I got to know a person which made me a less of an outgoing person. Overall PFO has taught me to be who I am and how to be my best self. These skills and lessons have helped me to have a happier life and be happier.

In gratitude
