Hey y’all! For arts experience this year, I am in the Dance experience. As a senior, I got to essentially choose out of dance, art, and theater which one I wanted to do. On a whim, and I’m still not sure why, I decided to do dance to push myself very far outside of my comfort zone. This past Saturday, we had a workshop with a local dancer to get some basics down. I was expecting to do interpretive dance or something and fail miserably, but instead we learned to do the Hustle and the Cha Cha, and it was wonderful. I have never had so much fun dancing. We were spinning and step-rocking and just having a blast bonding as a group. We even did the Cha Cha to the classic “fire buring on the dance floor.” I am super excited for dance experience, despite my slowly improving lack of rhythm.
