Arts Festival 2020

Description of Event

Each year Playing for Others (PFO) hosts a two-week long Arts Festival showcasing 4 different events:

Combining Spoken Word, Music, and Movement, this first-time event will take us deep into “Breathing University”. Audience members will explore the cause and effect of internal and external chaos and the power we have to navigate these challenges through the simple act of breathing.

March 7th & March 13th – 7pm

In collaboration with New York playwright and composer James Kennedy, PFO presents Ready.Set.Go, an original song cycle that navigates the slippery slope of self-acceptance: the inner self, the outer self, and everything in between.

March 5th, 6th, 12th & 14th – 7pm

This unconventional fashion show sits at the unique intersection of art and social change. PFO Runway will explore topics such as access, representation, sustainability, and transformation.

March 14th – 2pm

Celebrating Color is a fun-filled look into the world of the crayon box. With a mixed cast of kids with disabilities and teenagers, this original children’s musical is a delight for people of all ages.

March 8th – 2pm
