Playing for Others has been an impactful part of my life since 2009. While I was in the organization, I co-chaired two committees, served as teen executive, and took part in the musical theater, visual art and music experiences. In particular, leading the Children’s Book team taught me so much about the publishing process and really jumpstarted my interest in storytelling.
Needless to say, PFO was integral to my growth as a student, leader and person all throughout high school. PFO is a nurturing environment for creative minds and I’m very grateful for all the mentors and friends I’ve met through the program.
I’m currently double majoring in Journalism and Studio Art at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. When I’m not drawing comics for the Daily Tar Heel or working at Interactive Theater Carolina under the student wellness department, you can catch me at various social justice functions or undergraduate art shows.
