What was your favorite event?
My senior year I was a part of the Dance Experience. Before joining the Dance Experience, I would not have considered myself a dancer, but it was so cool to learn that dance is literally just movement. I got to dance a duet with McCaela Sullivan, my buddy partner from the year before and one of my best friends. We told the story of a homeless woman and a typical society woman becoming friends and accepting each other for who they are. Dancing with McCaela seemed like a perfect way to celebrate our friendship and the greater homeless community in Charlotte. I loved being a part of the Dance Experience my senior year.

What did you learn in PFO that still impacts you today?
I learned so much about the disability community and acceptance, and I am studying to one day work in the disability community! I also learned a lot about leadership tendencies and strategies, and in my leadership roles, I try to be well-rounded and able to reach everyone around me. I learned about self-acceptance, and that aspect is a constant work in progress. I learned SO many things from PFO that are still applicable, and these are just a few.

What are you passionate about now?
I am still super passionate about the disability community and work with organizations on campus that try to end disability stigma.
